Selection guide

What to know before you specify.

A walk-in cold room is an insulated, prefabricated room kept at a controlled temperature by a refrigeration system. Chillers run at 0 to +10 °C with 75–100 mm panels; freezers run at −18 to −25 °C with 120–150 mm panels; blast freezers pull product to −35 °C or below with 150–200 mm panels.

Common applications

  • Mobile food storage
  • Flower & plant storage

How long does a cold room take to produce?

Standard panel cold rooms are typically produced in 10–20 days after drawings are confirmed; container cold rooms and multi-chamber projects take longer. Exact lead time is confirmed with your quotation.

Can I install the cold room myself?

Yes. Camlock panels are designed for fast assembly with basic tools. We supply installation drawings, a parts list and video guidance; refrigeration piping and charging should be done by a qualified technician.

What panel thickness do I need?

As a rule of thumb: 75 mm for +5 °C and above, 100 mm for 0 °C, 120 mm for −18 °C, 150 mm for −25 °C and 150–200 mm for blast freezing. Hot climates may justify the next size up.

Tell us the room. We’ll engineer the rest.
