What to know before you specify.
Flake ice is thin, dry and fast-cooling — the standard for seafood, meat processing and concrete. Cube ice is hard and slow-melting for beverages and bagged retail. Block ice lasts longest for fishing boats and remote transport.

Which ice type is best for seafood?
Flake ice. It wraps around the product without bruising and cools quickly. Seawater flake ice machines are available for vessels and ports.
How much ice do I need per day?
For fish chilling, a common starting point is 1 kg of ice per kg of fish in warm climates, adjusted for transport time and insulation. We can check your figures.
Do I need an ice storage room?
For outputs above about 1 t/day, an insulated ice storage room keeps ice dry and ready for peak demand. We supply both together.
Tell us the room. We’ll engineer the rest.
